APATOSAURUS
MOVEMENT BEHAVIOR, LIFE SPAN, INTELLIGENCE

MOVEMENT
Apatosaurus moved very slowly on four legs Paleontologists theorize that Apatosaurus may have used its tail as a third leg in order to graze very tall vegetation.

BEHAVIOR, LIFE SPAN
Although many sauropods may have traveled in herds, bonebeds of Apatosaurus fossils have not been found. Apatosaurus may have been a solitary animal.
Sauropods' life spans may have been on the order of 100 years.

INTELLIGENCE
Apatosaurus was a sauropod, whose intelligence (as measured by its relative brain to body weight, or EQ) was the among the lowest of the dinosaurs.
